About Jonathan John

I firmly believe that individuals who have had the fortune of receiving an education have the moral obligation to give back to society. This recognition of privilege came during my formative years as I was exposed to the myriad of healthcare challenges that India faces by virtue of various members of my family and extended social circles being involved in community work. Growing up with ardent Christian values and exposure to a variety of social evils such as domestic violence, farmers’ issues and human trafficking through various internships and voluntary work, left indelible marks in my mind about the need for a robust social sector in our country. In my school years I was able to attend an annual WCCI conference in Hungary where I co-presented a paper; as well as participated, judged and trained students in various Model UN conferences. Through active participation and organizing events in college within the Debating Society, Students’ Union, Shakespeare Society and Social Service League I was able to develop and hone a plethora of organizational, communication and presentation skills. I am able to work with an eclectic team of individuals and recognise the value of self-expression and retaining individuality. I also have a passion for technology, photography and film-making, and am able to pick up skills with ease owing to a diverse set of lived experiences, and an undying passion for learning and problem solving.
