HIGHLIGHTS & HOW I GOT HERE Upon graduating from Penn State with an undergraduate degree in Labor & Industrial Relations in 2006, I entered the Accounting and Finance field and utilized my attention to detail and persistent work ethic to advance my roles within the companies I worked for. In 2012, I pursued my education further and received my MBA from the University of Maryland University College in 2014. I strive to learn something new each day and keep moving forward with my personal and professional development. As a person who believes that hard work and smart decisions undoubtedly lead to success, I have learned to surround myself with leaders and individuals who know how to and want to inspire. I have worked on teams to develop standard operating procedures, which opened up dialogue to improving many processes that enhance workflow. Developing strategic ways to improve my own workflow is important to me as well. Combining this concept with good communication has proved vital in my success thus far. MOVING FORWARD Since entering the professional working environment, I have acquired knowledge not only in finance and accounting principles and practices, but also on the factors that drive a business forward. From connecting with clients, colleagues and business leaders at an individual level, I am driven to pursue my career at the management level and to continue to grow both professionally and personally. I believe education is a lifelong pursuit and that nobody ever truly stops learning. To that degree, I continually strive to gain knowledge on the industry I work in and on the factors that drive my roles within an organization. It is also important to me to keep up with the news of the world, with the local community, and to keep grounded with my morals and ethical beliefs.
