As a high school chemistry, AP chemistry, and physics teacher, I developed career-focused curricula bridging the classroom and workplace. At Putnam City Schools, I ensured uninterrupted instruction during COVID-19 by creating a YouTube-based curriculum, demonstrating adaptability and commitment to student success. I also standardized district-wide chemistry curricula, ensuring consistency and equity. “The best way to predict the future is to create it.” — Peter Drucker. My work at Atoka High School exemplifies this philosophy. I secured over in grants to establish a comprehensive lab, developed career-centered lessons, and collaborated with organizations like the Kiamichi Technology Center to highlight the real-world value of science education. I also brought guest speakers into the classroom to connect students’ academic pursuits to practical applications. Beyond teaching, I recruited for the Youth Advisory Board and created multimedia content to showcase school achievements. This drive to create extends into my entrepreneurial ventures. I founded a thriving Teachers Pay Teachers store, selling nearly science materials and achieving a 5.6% conversion rate. I’ve also created tiered packages and built a strong social media presence, showcasing my ability to adapt and thrive in competitive markets.
