About Jonathan Kearney

I believe that our natural world, the many different biotopes and environments, the biodiversity within and throughout, and the linkage between all areas is of the utmost importance. For this reason it has always been my dream to be able to work with this amazing resource. To be one of the many who help to protect, inform and reinforce this fragile but powerful resource is a great privilege and an honour. My passion is a driving force in my professional development, to be the best ranger I can be. As such I seek out new areas of competence and expertise to further my overall grasp of the world of conservation. Through seminars and conferences such as those delivered by The Environmental Protection Agency of Sweden,(eg. seminar for outdoor life) the District Board (eg. course on signage and border marking, conference on the right to roam and the regional conservation operative meetings)and other private companies (chainsaw courses, brushcutter courses, various machinery courses and arborist course) I have been able to progress in my professional development. There is still much to learn. If I thought any different then there wouldn't be much progress. Through progress we can make changes that echoe into the future.
