About Jonathan Kirchem
I am a music education major at Southern Methodist University. I am studying under Chris Oliver, current associate principal trombonist of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and have studied with John Kitzman, former principal trombonist of the DSO. I have over 10 years of playing experience and have performed in various ensembles. I have performed in the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra as well as the Lone Star Youth Winds, the Meadows Wind Ensemble, and the Meadows Symphony Orchestra. I also have significant leadership experience. I am currently section leader of the SMU Mustang Band trombone section and I was a section leader and captain in the Richardson High School band. I was a Senior Patrol Leader and a Junior Assistant Scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts of America. I teach lessons to elementary, middle, and high school trombonists as well as play in and around the DFW metroplex.
