About Jonathan Langston

As an academic advisor and adjunct faculty member at Metropolitan Community College, I have been noted for my passion and ability to educate and assist students in setting and pursuing their goals. I have worked in higher education for over 5 years in student services learning and applying the best practices for student success. In the classroom, I educate teacher candidates in current and best practices for educational technology. I believe in building personal relationships with my students and discovering how each individual learns best. My primary goal is that my students will not only gain a valuable college education with transferable skills, but gain the confidence to apply their creativity, autonomy, and individuality with their own future students in the classroom as well. I continually learn in my own life and thus I continue to pass my passion for lifelong learning to my students. I am an individual who brings vision, innovation, and personal connection in both my advising and my instruction. I believe in trying new things, taking risks, consulting with others, and then assessing and evaluating the best possible path moving forward.
