About Jonathan Leary

As an Electrical Engineer-in-Training, I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of power and energy projects—spanning utility distribution, generation, detailed design, and large-scale energy storage. My experience includes supporting senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams on technically challenging projects such as arc flash studies, network design, substation commissioning, and renewable integration. I’ve performed detailed analysis using tools like CYME, ETAP, and ArcPro, and developed scalable methodologies to assess over 1,300 network manholes in support of system-wide arc flash risk mitigation. I’ve been trusted to lead technical coordination, interface with clients, and even step into leadership roles during high-pressure situations—such as supporting the commissioning of a 25 kV system at a solar farm, where I acted as backup commissioning lead during an on-site emergency.
