About Jonathan Lester

Jonathan Lester, Director of Membership at The Edgewater Beach Club and the Longboat Key Club, attended Roanoke College as a Business Administration major and operated with a Landscape Company in his hometown of Avon, Connecticut. Over 25 years ago Jonathan began his career in the Hospitality industry. Also classically trained, and with a Bachelor’s degree at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, he had a 6 year career in various roles in the Culinary Arts before managing Food and Beverage outlets in 4 Star/Diamond Hotels. Jonathan moved to Florida to start a family in and quickly joined the Ocean Properties team. He arrived at the Jupiter Beach Resort and Spa as the Director of Catering and Convention Services, “To create the perfect function, with the perfect food and perfect team is the most satisfying experience I have felt. The Resort has the best team I have ever worked with” Jonathan specialized in all groups, social and corporate, over 50 people and oversaw the Banquet Team in maintaining the 4-Star Standards of the Resort. “We like to create the client’s vision, not necessarily our vision.” In January of 2014, Jonathan moved to Sarasota to become the Director of Event Management at the Resort at Longboat Key Club. On Longboat Key, Jonathan got to know many of the Members with our 2,400+ Memberships and became the Director of Membership of the Longboat Key Club, as well as the Edgewater Beach Club in the fall of 2017. Jonathan has always strives for perfection in any task given and loves his job every day.
