Jonathan is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. He is a Member at Large of the Chief Justice of Ontario’s Advisory Committee on Professionalism, appointed by the Chief Justice and the Treasurer of the Law Society of Ontario and a member of the Supreme Court Advocacy Institute, a panel of select advocates with Supreme Court experience that provides pro bono peer review to counsel appearing in the Supreme Court of Canada. He has argued over 60 appeals including in the Supreme Court of Canada. He maintains a trial and appellate practice and regularly appears as Special Counsel for the Canadian Civil Liberties Association.
