About Jonathan Livergant
Dr. Livergant is a radiation oncologist and palliative care physician focused on improved care and quality of life for patients with advanced cancer and incurable disease. He is the only physician in Canada practicing both specialties. He received a BSc Honours in Pharmacology and MD from the University of Alberta, and subsequently completed residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Toronto (Princess Margaret and Sunnybrook Cancer Centres), including a term as chief resident, followed by fellowship training in Palliative Medicine at McMaster University. He currently serves as the chair of the Canadian Association of Radiation Oncology Communications Committee, and acting president of the BC Association of Radiation Oncologists.
