My skills are primarily in software development, in particular: Java and Android development (using Android SDK and react native) Backend web development with PHP (codeigniter, cakephp, laravel), or Python (pyramid, flask, mako) Frontend development with HTML/CSS/JS with Bootstrap, jQuery, vue.js, emberjs Database design and integration (mysql, mariadb mongodb) LaTeX Python - scripting, services, systems, applications, visualisation, IoT applications, Raspberry Pi, machine learning (keras, scikit-learn, scipy, hyperopt/hyperas, matplotlib), data mining, CAN networks on a variety of vehicles, working with own custom built CAN frontend I also have an interest in data mining, my PhD work is investigating mining streamed traffic data. In particular, I am looking at how stream mining can be used to detect anomalies and perform automated incident detection in SCATS traffic data in real time for arterial road networks. I am an organised and rational person who seeks challenging tasks and enjoys organising teams and seeing projects completed efficiently and collectively through leveraging of individual skills and ability. My personal goal is to build my own software consulting business. But currently I would like to expand my skill set by working with more experienced individuals and leveraging cutting edge technologies. In my spare time I enjoy baking, jogging, competitive PC gaming, ultimate frisbee and fencing.
