About Jonathan Massey

After graduating high school in 2008 I joined the US Army as an 11B Infantryman. Once I was finished with my service and received an honorable discharge I then began working as a Campus Security Officer in 2010 at a small community college in Virginia. I worked my way up in the company to the position of Regional Manager of Harrisonburg and Winchester, VA. I was responsible for client relations, ensuring clients had proper coverage on their properties to effectively protect personnel and assets. I then moved on to become a Special Conservator of the Peace at Sentara RMH in 2012 working various shifts and eventually taking on the role of shift lead on night shift. I was tasked with professionally handling mental health patients in crisis, disruptive visitors, workplace injuries, and monitoring access into and out of the property. In 2018 I decided to try a career change and started a secondary job at the hospital as a cardiac monitor tech. I then obtained my EMT-B certification and started as a Emergency Department Technician in 2020. After working in 3 different roles at the hospital I decided I wanted something that would bring me better growth opportunities and started working as a Line Technician at Danone in 2022. In 2023 I was awarded the position of Quality Assurance Specialist working in the lab at Danone. My current career goal is to become a remote Quality Assurance Specialist or Data Analyst. I am currently finishing my Bachelors of Science degree in IT Application and Database Development and obtaining a Google certification for Data Analyst.
