About Jonathan Maxwell

As the Founding Partner and CEO of Sustainable Development Capital LLP (SDCL, I have been leading the firm's vision and strategy for over 18 years, focusing on the efficient and decentralized generation of energy (EDGE) markets and the environmental infrastructure, climate solutions, and financial services industries. I have extensive experience in business and investment management, including infrastructure and private equity, asset management, equity, debt, greenfield project development and construction, and mergers and acquisitions. I am also the author of 'The Edge: How competition for resources is pushing the world, and its climate, to the brink - and what we can do about a book that explores the challenges and opportunities of the EDGE markets and the role of innovation, technology, and finance in addressing the climate crisis. I have successfully launched and managed a FTSE 250 investment company listed on the London Stock Exchange, private equity infrastructure funds, and a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange. I hold a Modern History degree from the University of Oxford.
