Mr. Mayes is an internationally-known speaker on diversity, equity and inclusion topics, and has frequently presented at conferences, major universities, business groups and corporations across the U.S. He’s the former Senior Vice President - Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer at Albertsons Companies, the second-largest conventional food and drug retailers in North America. 2021 sales exceeded $70B with nearly 2,300 stores and employees in 34 states and D.C. Mr. Mayes led the Company’s award-winning diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, and is a Certified Diversity Executive. He’s thrice been named one of the Top 100 Diversity & Inclusion executives in the U.S. In March 2022 he launched Jonathan Mayes Consulting, and works with companies and other organizations seeking to build and advance a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
