About Jonathan McDonald

Jon McDonald is a director, writer and creative producer at American Millimetre Incorporated and has been working professionally in film and television since 2006. After attending the world famous Art Center in Pasadena, California, Jon went on to lead teams of artists as a concept designer and storyboard artist for animated and live action films. Some of his past clients include studios such as Nickelodeon and TNT and can be seen in projects like The Last Airbender and Yo Gabba Gabba. Jon McDonald wrote and directed his first short film entitled Chagrin in 2012 and went on to write and direct his first feature film, Muddy Corman. The film stars Kevin Corrigan and was successfully presented at Sundance’s Director Lab. In a review featured on review aggregator website, Rotten Tomatoes, reviewer Fred Topel said,” McDonald makes a feature debut with a strong voice. He is instantly one to watch for his next films.” After directing his second feature film, The Hyperions, Jon took on a creative leadership role at AMGI animation studios where he oversees the art direction and creative development of original content.
