About Jonathan Meakin

I have worked in the Irish IT industry for many years, having been involved in numerous projects including help desk procedures, technical career guidance, information systems setup and support. I am also a qualified IT trainer having delivered courses on IT systems, customer handling skills, Comptia A+, ECDL and new hire programmes. I have worked for the Bank of Ireland, Dell, USIT, Accenture, Convergys, Microsoft and as a trainer with Cenit and Portobello Colleges. I am also a fully qualified tour guide. For a year I participated in the Dublinia Cultural and Heritage Tour Guide course. This provided me with comprehensive knowledge of Irish cultural and heritage studies. I completed this course with distinction. I have since provided tours in Dublin city centre and the National Museums. I also teach Tour Guiding at Portobello Institute. I also have an MA in International Relations from DCU. I also have a BA(Hons) in Social Sciences, for which I specialised in contemporary history and politics.
