About Jonathan Mock
I’m a PhD student pursuing a degree in Applied Physics at Texas A&M. Beginning my journey at LeTourneau University, I learned about Physics with an emphasis on its applications in engineering. This experience led me to getting accepted and studying at Texas A&M. My interests include Quantum Computing/Information, Plasma Physics, and Nuclear Fusion. My current research is using the Python Tight Binding (PythTB) package developed by Sinisa Coh (University of California at Riverside) and David Vanderbilt (Rutgers University) to generate qualitative band gap structures of crystal lattices. Through this research, I am gaining experience in Python programming (PyCharm Professional). Furthermore, I have extensive experience with LaTeX due to submitting class work using this language.
