With over 20 years in the technology industry, I have spent the last 10 years in several leadership positions. I created an IT department and implemented an information security program that involved an engaging security awareness campaign and ongoing audits to maintain compliance and governance. By conducting evaluations and making careful selections of IT security tools, we not only enhanced our day-to-day business operations but also ensured the confidentiality of our guests and users, the integrity of our content, and the availability of our critical systems. I take pride in effectively leading and developing a highly skilled team of technical professionals who have successfully transitioned into various positions, ranging from cybersecurity to government jobs, and continue to make a significant impact on our industry. Accomplishments In the past ten years, I have been involved in the process of launching and shutting down various locations, and I have successfully created multiple thriving businesses from the ground up. The key to achieving success in this was the ability to collaborate with different departments and maintain effective communication with stakeholders. Collaboration & Communication. Faced with a severe Ransomware attack, I took charge and effectively led a team of inexperienced technicians through the process of conducting risk assessments, implementing remedial measures, and performing forensic analysis, resulting in the restoration of business operations in just a few days. Management. Next, I collaborated with our CFO and insurance provider to ensure that we received our claim. This allowed us to take advantage of the situation and implement the necessary security measures to protect us from potential future attacks. Leadership With an average of 35-55 successful company projects each year for the past 5 years, I have perfected my problem-solving skills to keep projects on track even when they encounter derailing obstacles. By emphasizing the business goal and incorporating Agile methodology, I ensured I considered unforeseen circumstances in all my planning processes. Project Management. My aim after every workday is to bring about improvements, be it minor or significant, in the technology I manage, and to ensure that all our departments are working together and are focused on achieving the company’s business goals. My value lies in my experience, leadership abilities, and my knack for staying unfazed and thinking outside the box to ensure we keep making progress towards our goal.
