About Jonathan Morris

Jonathan Morris is the principal consultant at Imperem, an established strategic technology partner specialising in the mid-market UK Private Equity space. He has extensive experience with pre-transaction technical due diligence and post-transaction projects. His experience includes assisting teams in structuring and recruiting technology and product divisions, and he regularly advises on the hiring of senior positions such as CTO, CIO, and CPO, working directly with headhunters and conducting interviews. In addition, Jonathan has led technical and product rescue projects and advised teams on new product development roadmap delivery strategy and planning. Jonathan is frequently involved in cost projections and the rationalisation of technology expenditures. As part of these projects, he provides advice on technical debt assessment and remediation and collaborates with teams on architecture, technology stack, and open-source software challenges. He directs project governance initiatives and guides research and development initiatives for key investments such as cloud migrations, artificial intelligence, content management systems, and mobile development. Jonathan collaborates closely with the C-Suite and Board of Directors to support the Private Equity evaluation and comprehension of the technical, data, and product strategy. Jonathan has an extensive background in technology and product development encompassing FinTech, Big Data, digital publishing, mobile and web start-ups. Former CEO of social media company DriveTribe. He founded the mobile software development firm Userly and served as CEO of the digital development firm Ideascape. Jonathan is a finalist for the Techcrunch50 and the founder of TheSwap. In addition, he held senior technology and product positions at Thomson Reuters, Pearson, and the Financial Times, and worked as a FinTech CTO at Credit Benchmark and Markit.
