About Jonathan Munoz

Hi there! I am a data professional serving insights in the restaurant industry. How did I become a data guy- Totally by accident! I was pushed to learn data cleaning and analysis tools as part of my final project in college when all I wanted was an answer to my thesis - now I can't get enough of it. The challenge of transforming raw data into actionable insights has led me down a winding path of struggle and growth. On my travels I have added several tools to my belt - my favorites of which include DBT, SQL, and Power BI Currently in love with the culture at Black Box Intelligence. I have been a long-time believer that a strong workplace culture benefits not only the employee, but also the employer. Happy employees = effective employees, it's a win-win! I have had the joy of experiencing this first-hand working at BBI. Shortly after signing on, I joined as a member of the culture keepers team. We help keep employees connected across departments and foster a sense of belonging in a remote environment. My favorite initiatives include quarterly volunteering opportunities, randomized 1:1 meetings across all departments (including executives!), and our month-long office Summer Olympics events.
