About Jonathan Paynter

Jonathan Paynter has provided his expertise in resolving complex family court and collaborative family law cases, using his well honed family mediation skills, and appearing in Family Court as an expert on child custody cases and voice of the child reports, since 2006. He has also been providing counselling and psychotherapy to families, children, couples and individuals since including working with youth in conflict with the law, families involved in child protection and college students. He has specific training in treating anger management, CBT for depression and anxiety, relapse prevention for addictions and problematic sexual behaviours, and solution focussed therapy for individuals and couples. Jonathan has also worked as a family mediator since 2014, helping divorced or separated parents develop mutually acceptable parenting plans In addition to his experience and training as a family mediator, Jonathan has completed training in child protection mediation, family arbitration and New Ways for Families (High Conflict Institute). Jonathan is a kind, compassionate and patient social worker/family mediator, who can help families cope with a wide variety of issues, circumstances and conflicts.
