About Jonathan Pearson

I am currently entering my junior year as a mechanical Engineering major at the University of Connecticut. I am a part of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity, A Skipper of the Sailing team, a member of the Engineering Ambassadors club, and a HuskyTHON Morale Captain. My most recent position I held was a Department head at Camp Calumet Lutheran Ministries. I was in charge of counselors ages 18-20 who take care of kids ages 13-15. I had to ensure a productive and collaborative work environment between Counselors whilst dealing with any issues that came up between them. I had to work with the other Department Heads to make sure we created a cohesive safe and successful work environment to maximize camper safety and enjoyment. I have volunteered in a plethora of activates ranging from football camps and special Olympics to Church golf outings and shopping for single moms at Christmas time. My most recent volunteer work has been in the HuskyTHON 18 hour dance marathon for Connecticut children’s Throughout these endeavors I had to use my positive attitude, critical thinking, and ability to operate on a team to succeed.
