About Jonathan Phillipson

As far back as I can remember, I’ve always been fascinated with technology and have always had a knack for learning new technology at an incredible pace. With my current company, I was solely responsible for maintaining essential IT operations for the past 8 years, including monitoring the QuickBooks Desktop file and performing essential backups on a nightly basis. By using my knowledge of IT systems, I was able to research and hire a competent IT company to help my employers upgrade and maintain network equipment, thus making the company more efficient and secure. I have a working knowledge of multiple software and hardware applications and have used that knowledge to further ensure efficiency. My years of experience in the logistics field have helped me gain an analytical mindset that could be of benefit to an IT position and its responsibilities, from preparing cost benefit analysis reports and analyzing vendors to maintaining IT operations and preserving a company's assets. My experience with on-site network administration would ensure I could handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration, as well as training employees on both software and hardware and providing technical support when needed. I'm looking to expand my career into the field of IT, with the eventual goal of being a network administrator, so I have been completing certificates in the evenings, including multiple certificates for Google and their suite of efficiency and security solutions. In my free time I enjoy board games, Tabletop Roleplaying games and reading. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and enjoy a quiet life shared with a wonderful partner. I enjoy problem solving and troubleshooting and I really like helping people to overcome issues they may have on a day-to-day basis.
