About Jonathan Poe

I have been a researcher at Duke University Medical Center since 1997, and have > 50 peer reviewed publications in the field. My work has focused on understanding B lymphocyte development, survival, autoimmune responses, and malignant transformation. My current position is in The Department of Medicine where I am investigating the molecular mechanisms through which B cells play a pathogenic role in mediating chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD). During my time at Duke I have instructed many postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and undergraduate students in various immunological and laboratory techniques, as well as in the use of mouse models of human disease. I have also had the opportunity to collaborate with the pharmaceutical industry through sponsored research agreements through Duke. These SRAs have included the assessment of improved monoclonal antibodies and fusion-toxins with extended half-lives for the treatment of cancer.
