About Jonathan Powers

As an Education Services Specialist at Pacific Air Forces, I support the educational goals and aspirations of soldiers in various matters involving higher education. With over 15 years of combined military service in the US Army and the US Navy, I have gained valuable skills in leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication that enable me to effectively assist soldiers in navigating financial aid, college counseling, transcript retrieval, and application processes. I am also an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at University of the People, where I teach online education strategies to students from diverse backgrounds and cultures. I hold a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership and Administration, an Education Specialist (EdS) in Educational Leadership, and a Master of Science (MS) in Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching from Liberty University. I am passionate about lifelong learning, educational technology, and teacher training, and I have certifications in educational administration, coaching, and project management. My mission is to empower learners and educators to achieve their full potential and to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and society.
