A professional engineering leader with 40 years experience of managing technical and business teams in the Royal Navy and defence industry.I joined the Royal Navy at 18; they educated me and taught me both management and leadership. Over 20 years as a submariner I was tested, challenged and bent into all manner of awkward shapes.I left the Royal Navy when my sea-going career came to an end and the prospect of shuffling from one desk to another didn’t appeal. I took my Masters in Defence Simulation and Modelling to industry and applied it to systems development and prototyping.
