About Jonathan Redding

Jonathan Redding is a Los Angeles-based writer-producer for film and television, with several projects currently in development, including collaborations with STX Studios and Echo Lake Entertainment. His most recent credits include the final two seasons of Showtime's HOMELAND. Additionally, Jonathan teaches television writing with Jacob Krueger Studios, where he offers professional mentorship and leads a simulated writers room workshop for emerging writers. Before transitioning to film and television, Jonathan was in the professional theatre, where he worked as a dramaturg, director, actor and playwright, most recently serving as Resident Dramaturg for The Broad Stage, in Santa Monica. There, he had the privilege of supporting pieces by premiere performing artists from around the world, including: Mikhail Baryshnikov (Chekhov’s MAN IN A CASE); Anna Deveare Smith (NOTES FROM THE FIELD); Denis O’Hare (AN ILIAD); and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre of London (HAMLET; KING LEAR; HENRY Some of Jonathan's accolades include winning screenwriting competitions at the Slamdance Film Festival (CANDLE, 2018) and the Cinequest Film Festival (THE HUNT, 2018), and several Ovation Award Nominations (GOSPEL ACCORDING TO FIRST SQUAD, Best Play, Best Ensemble Performance, 2011). Jonathan is a member of the Writers Guild of America West, and is repped by Circle of Confusion.
