About Jonathan Ross

Field Foresters specialize in Harvest Block Layout and Forest Management. This includes harvest operation planning for forest stands such as tolerant and intolerant hardwood, natural and managed softwood stands, and mixed wood stands, on industrial freehold, licensed crown land, and private land. In addition, I’m focused on the regeneration of these forest stands post harvest and the retention of special sites such as rare plant sites, historical sites, and important wildlife habitat. In my time since graduation from the Maritime College of Forest Technology I have gained experience in various forest operations, examples of these are industrial planting and site preparation, pre-commercial and commercial thinning, vegetation management, wild land fire fighting, and harvest operations.
