I am a private practice general dentist in the Portland Oregon Metro area. I have been in practice for since and have owned my own office since 2004. Over the past few years I have come to realize that there is an overwhelming emphasis in my industry in selling cosmetic dentistry. I do not deny that there is a need for this aspect of dentistry. However I wish to focus on the priorities of my medical specialty. Our first goal is health and prevention of disease. Obvious but somehow under emphasized in treatment plans. This is a top to bottom assessment of a patients medical health and how it relates to dental issues and visa versa. The next goal is a patient's oral function. Are there any issues that are propagated with the patient's current situation? This may be related to jaw pain, headaches, sharp dental pain, grinding of teeth, or snoring/sleep apnea. Specialties: Treatment of children ages 1 to adult. Periodontal deep root scaling, restoration of teeth i.e. composite resin, porcelain/gold onlay/inlay work, zirconia crown & bridge work, implant crown restoration, TMJ pain & disorders, mild/moderate muscle pain management, root canal treatment & restoration, porcelain veneer & bonding, snoring & mild sleep apnea disorders, referral & consultation of specialty issues related to periodontal issues, oral maxilliofacial surgery, & endodontic retreatment.
