About Jonathan Slater

I am a pediatrician and physician executive with a strong record of medical leadership. My interests include physician health, medical staff engagement, privileging, leadership development and health human resources planning. I help people with diverse interests work towards common objectives. My leadership positions have included a portfolio of ten hospitals that included a tertiary general hospital, a tertiary psychiatric hospital, a regional hospital and seven community hospitals, the surgical services and pharmaceutical services. I have also led a provincial project to standardize privileging processes across British Columbia. In my clinical work I teach an international medical graduate as well as residents and medical students as a Clinical Assistant Professor. I work in support of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Physician Practice Enhancement Program. I am available for consultative work, based in British Columbia but open to limited travel across North America
