Jonathan is an accomplished Professional Quantity Surveyor and Civil Engineering Surveyor with a robust track record spanning over 30 years in the construction industry. Throughout his career, he has engaged with a diverse spectrum of clients, including contractors, private and public sector employers, and esteemed professional practices. Having commenced his journey as a site-based quantity surveyor, Jonathan gained hands-on experience on construction and engineering ventures in the UK and later in the Middle East. This foundational phase nurtured his understanding of project dynamics. In the last two decades, he has honed his focus on delivering exceptional commercial consultancy services to the construction realm. His expertise encompasses pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying, claims formulation, evaluation, and management through to settlement, as well as dispute resolution services. His clientele ranges from government entities and private employers to contractors, subcontractors, and fellow construction professionals. Jonathan's noteworthy portfolio spans an array of sectors, including buildings, infrastructure, airports, sports stadia, water, and energy projects. His impactful contributions extend across Europe, Africa, South America, and the Middle East, where he has significantly influenced high-profile initiatives. His proficiency lies in the strategic evaluation of contractual claims, touching upon critical aspects like prolongation, disruption, acceleration, cost escalation, depreciation, head office overheads, and loss of profit claims. Notably, he brings a wealth of experience as an adept expert witness, having undergone cross-examination on intricate matters including measurement issues, valuation of work executed, variations, prolongation, and disruption.
