About Jonathan Tudan

In the early days of his career Jonathan established boutique design firms in both Prescott, AZ and Port Townsend, WA, later serving as the Associate Campus Architect at the University of California, as well as senior management positions for firms in Seattle, Boston and Los Angeles. His projects could not be more diverse; having restored adobe military forts from Arizona’s territorial days to Charles Bulfinch’s iconic Massachusetts State House on top of Boston’s Beacon Hill. Jonathan built on his design foundation, recognizing a proficiency in sustainable design, higher education, transportation centers, science and technology, corporate commercial and hi-rise construction. He is highly proficient in the Design Build project delivery method. His tenure as a building professional includes a period as a commercial general contractor and a community college educator, as well as contributions of service on civic planning boards, zoning appellate boards, art commissions and design review boards. Jonathan participates as a guest speaker in planning, design and construction venues throughout the country. While struggling through his freshman year in architecture a twist of fate found Jonathan a job as the live-in manager of a flophouse inside Boston’s red-light district, the Combat Zone, notorious for adult entertainment, strip clubs and prostitution. As the saying goes, “Never let your schooling interfere with your education.” His transformational adventures were published in the 2008 memoir,"Lovers, Muggers & Thieves". An excerpt of his book was featured in the July, 2007 issue of "Architecture Boston Magazine" in an article titled,"Boston Night Lights".
