About Jonathan Valenzuela

I am currently an graduate student at National University. I graduated California State University Los Angeles in 2014 with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology. I am currently concentrating in single subject teaching. I have over 8 years of retail excellence. I have managed multiple stores at Sunglass Hut and currently manage 1 of 256 Million dollar locations for the brand along with a secondary location. I was in charge of hiring and developing my own staff and generating sales which we exceeded in year in and year out. On the educational side I was a tutor/teachers aide for the AVID program at Miguel Contreras Learning Complex. I helped tutor students of all grades and teach English to students who learned English as a second language. In the same school I was an after school tutor and coach. I tutored all athletes once a week to ensure their grades remained above CIF standard. As a coach I took over the Junior Varsity Program and helped kids develop skills to perform at the high school level. Education was always first so I also conducted grade check every two weeks. As a coach I ended my first year at an 8-8 record.
