About Jonathan Walton

With over 18 years of experience in the military and the private sector, I am a seasoned leader and innovator in the field of national security and risk management. As the Unit Transition Director at the US Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), I oversee the transition to the private sector for some of the Nation's finest Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines. I also collaborate with other stakeholders and partners in industry to align the Unit's vision, mission, and goals with the strategic priorities and objectives of the USASOC and the Department of Defense. Outside of the service, I held various positions at Oritain, a global leader in scientific traceability solutions, where I managed service delivery, customer relationships, and operations for the mapping division. I applied my expertise in risk management, data analysis, and problem-solving to deliver high-quality products and services to clients across different industries and regions. I also contributed to the innovation and growth of the company by identifying new opportunities, developing new solutions, and enhancing existing processes and systems. I previously served as a Green Beret in the 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) of the U.S. Army, where I participated in multiple missions and operations in support of national security and global stability. I honed my skills in leadership, teamwork, communication, and resilience, as well as acquired proficiency in Tagalog and Spanish languages. I hold a Master of Science and a Master of Business Administration from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, where I focused on entrepreneurship and innovation. I am passionate about applying my knowledge and skills to create positive impact and value for the organizations and communities I serve. I am also committed to learning and growing as a professional and a person, and to bringing diverse perspectives and experiences to the team.
