About Jonathan Watson

About Jonathan WatsonAfter more than a decade serving as a Marine Technician in the Royal Australian Navy, I’m now turning the page to a new chapter—one that combines my hands-on technical skills with a growing passion for design and problem-solving.I’ve recently completed a Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting and will begin a Certificate IV in Residential Drafting in Semester 2, 2025. This career shift feels like a natural evolution. During my time in the Navy, I worked with complex mechanical and electrical systems, often relying on technical drawings and precision troubleshooting. It taught me to value detail, clarity, and accuracy—qualities I’m excited to bring into the drafting world.I’m currently sharpening my skills in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Inventor, and I’m someone who learns fast, works hard, and thrives under pressure. I take pride in being reliable, collaborative, and focused on getting the job done right—especially when deadlines are tight.I’m looking to join a team where I can continue growing as a drafter, contribute from day one, and add real value through both my practical background and new technical skills. If you're looking for someone who brings discipline, drive, and fresh perspective—I’d love to connect.
