About Jonathan Whitaker

Throughout my time at Mount Allison University, I have been exposed to quite the array of job responsibilities and titles. I am always looking to grow my knowledge and really understand how everything is connected. Having to go back to school every fall allowed me to work short term jobs in different fields to really branch out my experiences.During the summer months, I worked as a Server at one of Connecticut's finest dining destinations, as well as hardware and seasonal positions in Nova Scotia. While at University, I was always involved. In addition to playing for the Varsity Men's Soccer and the Ultimate Frisbee teams, I worked as a Resident Assistant, Physics Teaching Assistant, and Security for the campus pub.Starting off as a Math major, I quickly realized that Computer Science was where I wanted to be. Since switching fields, I have always found myself interested in Graphical User Interfaces. Finding that happy middle-ground of making programs efficient yet intuitive for new and experienced users alike is very intriguing to me.When I am not working I am exploring beautiful Nova Scotia, playing my guitar and making music, coding side projects I find interesting, and playing ultimate frisbee or going for runs to clear my mind.
