About Jonathan Wolsey

So far I have had a varied employment history, during which I have taken what I have experienced and learnt from one role to the next, whilst also trying to apply my skills in IT to help improve workflows and tasks for colleagues. I am currently undertaking a number of LinkedIn Learning courses, that whilst not applicable to my current role of Document Controller, help me to create a wide variety of solutions for colleagues in my department whilst also developing my career to the next stage. As can be seen in the Projects section of my profile, I have worked on a wide variety of IT based projects at BCU ranging from working with IT to setup web cameras to remotely view the construction of major building projects like STEAMhouse and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, to developing applications in C# and Microsoft Power Apps that share data with Microsoft SharePoint sites. Outside of work I am interested in all things computer and video game related (history, developing and playing) and have built myself an arcade JAMMA cabinet with Mars coin-mech, and have a collection of mainly classic gameboards from Capcom as well as titles like Double Dragon and Snow Bros. I also enjoy practising my home barista skills with a Sage Grind Master Pro grinder and Sage Duo-Temp Pro espresso machine.
