About Jonathan Yu

With a diploma in accounting and strategic measurement from MacEwan University, I am passionate about applying my accounting skills and knowledge to real-world scenarios. I have learned the fundamentals of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, auditing, and business analytics, and I am eager to learn and grow in this field. As an asset accountant at Vertex Resource Group Ltd, I manage various aspects of asset accounting, such as asset continuity schedule, purchase orders, AFEs, equipment purchases and disposals, depreciation or amortization calculations, and monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts, journal entries, and management reports. I also communicate and collaborate with various members of the leadership team and provide them with accurate and timely information. I have three years of accounting and administration experience, and I am proficient in multiple accounting databases, such as Maestro and Deltek Vision. I have also developed strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills, which I demonstrated in my previous roles as a junior accounts payable clerk at Vertex and a warehouse associate at Amazon. I am a team player, a hard worker, and a fast learner, and I am always looking for new challenges and opportunities to improve my skills and knowledge.
