Jonathon Mitchell, MBA, SCMP, has over 10 years experience with Indigenous finance, procurement, supply chain, governance, administration, project management and strategic planning. Jonathon recently has taken on the role of Director, Indigenous Relations and Procurement with BC's Provincial Health Services Authority, where he leverages his experience and education to improve Economic Development, Indigenous entrepreneurship, and Indigenous relations throughout the province. Jonathon also owns and operates the boutique consulting firm Sumix Consulting. Sumix’s focus is working with Indigenous communities, businesses, and peoples, to provide hands-on consulting services to improve transparency, governance, sustainability and to improve Indigenous entrepreneurship and overall living standards of Indigenous peoples across Canada. Previously, Jonathon worked at MNP as a Senior Manager in Indigenous Services, delivering organizational management, policy development, strategic planning, financial administration, community reporting, budgeting, and economic and business development, while encouraging sustainable initiatives. Jonathon is always looking for meaningful and sustainable ways to position Indigenous peoples and communities for prosperity and growth. Jonathon works closely with Indigenous organizations, communities, and peoples to provide leadership, mentorship, and financial governance to promote Indigenous sovereignty and the overall development of Indigenous Peoples. Jonathon serves as the Vice President of All Nations Trust Co. – an Indigenous owned and operated financial institution and trust company that provides business support, advisory services, and lending to Indigenous organizations and Peoples in British Columbia. Jonathon previously served as a Board of Director at Supply Chain Canada, BC – an organization that ensures Canadian supply chain professionals and organizations that are recognized for leading innovation, global competitiveness, and driving economic growth. Jonathon focused his time at Supply Chain Canada, BC to expand entrepreneurship and the development of Indigenous businesses, while improving the transparency and due process within Indigenous organizations.
