About Jonathon Silver

Hello. My name is Jonathon Silver. I am currently the Chef de Cuisine at Three Embers, Chicago Marriott Lincolnshire Resort. I am honored and proud to have this opportunity to work with an amazing team as we prepare the finest ingredients on a seasonal basis. We consistently strive everyday to deliver combined flavors and “eye opening” presentations to our guests in our dining room. Knowing that our wood burning grill provides an outstanding flavor to our steaks, chops and seafood, we don’t just stop there, we accompany our wonderful proteins with carefully thought out sauces, vegetables and starches. We take classic methods and mold them into present times which we confidently believe builds a menu to please everyone. I truly believe in taking care of our guests because I know if we don’t, someone else will. When I’m not in the kitchen, my other passion is playing the drums. As long as I can remember, I always enjoyed laying down a beat. 2 wooden spoons and some pots and pans is all it took and away I went into a world of percussion. It’s my escape from the common anxieties and stresses of the world and allows me to shut my brain off for a while. I received my first drum set by the time I was 9 years old and have studied the art ever since. Whether in the kitchen or behind the drum set, I continue to enjoy what I do. I believe they say that if you enjoy what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. How cool and true is that!
