About Jongmin Yim

As a Korean national who has lived in the Philippines for more than 20 years, I have the ability to speak all 3 languages, Korean, English and Tagalog, fluently. With this skill, I am currently working as a ESG Data analyst at ISS-Stoxx with the following daily responsibilities- Analysis and collection of the companies' ESG - Environmental data- Focusing on the Korean companies' data and studying the environmental standards specific to Korea such as K-IFRS, K-EV100, RE-100 while browsing through the company's Business Report uploaded on DARTS- Translation and data input of Korean companies' data from Korean language to English language- Data gathering using the international standards and indices such as GRI, SASB, TCFD and CDP- ESG Climate and GHG emissions data audit and editing- Responding to stakeholders' data queries and amendments if necessary- Responding to client queries through Data Verification Process- Discussion of data collection guidance and proposal of revisions by collaborating with other team- Constantly raising queries and discussing any ambiguity with the Data Governance team of the ISS-STOXX to minimize overall team error- Coordination with other teams to minimize misunderstandings regarding data collection. Other than the abovementioned tasks, I am passionate in training and helping my colleagues for their tasks to become more smooth-sailing. Because of this trait, I have achieved the following during my stay in ISS-STOXX- Proposal and implementation of automated internal tool to enable a more accurate and efficient calculation of numerical data especially for energy-related metrics- Implementation of a new and efficient training program for the team to have a deeper understanding of the Climate Change manual- Effective training of the new hires resulting to enhanced overall data accuracy of the team- Proposal and implementation of mentorship program for inclusion of colleagues and boosting the morale of the team. Due to my passion for this job and my consistent desire to make the system more efficient, I have never stopped proposing new ideas for smoother and more accurate data collection. Furthermore, as an electronics engineering graduate, I have the following technical skills- Programming languages such as C++, Python- Electronics Engineering skills such as circuits and electronics- Numerical analysis skills - Knowledge about energy.
