With over 20 years of experience in the design industry, Joni Laycook recognizes the importance of adding style to any space. Her experience includes residential and commercial projects, as well as event styling and merchandising. She truly enjoys the process of working with clients to transform a space.(it’s fine the way it was, it’s a good sentence, just wanted to try and bring in clients or people-focused since you’re good with the peeps). In 2014, Joni established Shore Studio Property Styling. With a bachelor’s degree in merchandising, along with career experience in marketing, sales, and design, she created a business that encompassed her key goals – helping others and creating impressionable concepts. What began as a freelance consulting business has grown to include rental inventory for owner-occupied and vacant staging projects. Shore Studio has nearly square feet of furniture, art, and accessories that are carefully curated and utilized for property styling. Joni works with homeowners, realtors, and builders in the Annapolis area and beyond. While design is focused on the client, and the personalized functionality and aesthetics, staging is focused on appealing to the masses. Both services have a common goal – to create a memorable, purposeful, and visually appealing experience. Whether she is staging a home to sell, or designing for a specific client, she takes pride in her respectful and creative approach to property styling.
