Team Lead RN- provides support to Supervisors and the team in the clinical area where needed including but not limited to: SNF, clinical validation, readmissions, OIG contracts, CMS RAC audits, appeals, QA, education/ training. Serves as a SNF subject expert and provides team support. History: over 20 years RN experience. Previous areas include ICU, Med Surg, Home Health, inpatient Hospice, and SNF. SNF experience includes charge nurse, unit manager, and MDS coordinator. As MDS coordinator, I was able to progress in the following areas exponentially: patient assessment, teaching, care planning, interventions, and implementing strategies affecting the Case Mix index and PPS reimbursement to better serve the patient, as well as the facility. Very detail oriented with research, assessment, billing, audit/reviews, as well as proficient in the appeals and QA process for recovery. I also have a degree in Marketing/ Management services that has enhanced my leadership, management, and customer service skills. Notable background in insurance billing. Previous work environment includes assisting a paralegal in medical billing recoveries including garnishment cases.
