Jonida is a Senior Manager in the State and Local Tax Practice of PwC LLP New York City office and specializes in unclaimed property. She was first introduced to the field of unclaimed property while working for Deloitte and continues to provide services related to this specialized field in her current position at PwC. Jonida assists clients by providing unclaimed property consulting and compliance related services as follows- Assistance with the completion of Voluntary Disclosure Agreements in various jurisdictions- Audit Defense services for clients under audit by the states and third party audit firms- Analyze complex corporate structure and business operations to identify states where primary unclaimed property exposure is likely to exist- Utilize complex extrapolation methodologies and technical resources, including statistical sampling, to quantify unclaimed property exposures- Perform account analyses and reconciliation of General Ledger entries and account balances- Provide guidance on Policies and Procedures for identifying and reporting unclaimed property- Assist with preparation of state unclaimed property filings. Prior to joining PwC, Jonida worked for the Deloitte Multistate Tax and Regulatory Consulting Groups, Thomson Reuters Tax and Accounting department and KPMG SALT. Jonida is a Certified Fraud Examiner and holds a MS Degree in Accounting from Suffolk University and BS Degree in Finance from Ithaca College. She is a member of the Unclaimed Property Professionals Organization and currently sits on the Virtual Learning Subcommittee of the organization.
