About Jonie Bertin

With over 14 years of experience in the film and retail industries, I am a passionate and creative set costumer who loves bringing stories to life through costumes. I have a strong background in visual merchandising, project management, and organizational leadership, and I enjoy working with diverse and talented teams to deliver high-quality results. I am currently a costumer and assistant Designer at Iatse Local 478, where I collaborate with the costume designer and crew to create and maintain the costumes for various film and TV productions.In my current role, I apply my skills in project management, interpersonal communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure that the costumes align with the director's vision, the script, and the budget. I also handle the logistics of sourcing, purchasing, fitting, altering, cleaning, and storing the costumes, as well as coordinating with the actors, the wardrobe department, and the production crew. Additionally, I leverage my previous experience as a regional visual merchandiser and an assistant manager at LUSH FRESH HANDMADE COSMETICS to create eye-catching and effective displays, train and coach the staff, and support the sales and customer service goals.
