Jonus Goldstein is a freshman at Florida State University, where he is majoring in Management Information Systems and Political Science. His role as Digital Services Coordinator at Starkey Market has not only solidified his passion for technology and business but also provided practical experience that complements his studies. Holding multiple professional certifications, including Microsoft Office Specialist and Adobe Certified Professional, Jonus has a well-rounded skill set that bridges academic theory with real-world application.Selected for the College of Business Student Leadership Council, Jonus is utilizing this opportunity to further hone his leadership skills and connect with industry professionals, while enhancing student engagement within the College of Business. In addition to his council involvement, he is an active member of the Association for Information Systems, demonstrating his dedication to professional development and networking within his field. Jonus also serves as a Student Senator for the Student Government Association at Florida State University, engaging in the Budget Committee responsible for allocating $14.6 million in student tuition fees. He is tasked with drafting and passing legislation, collaborating with fellow senators to advance student priorities, and engaging with campus administration officials and constituents to effectuate change to better the Student Body. As a Sustainability Fellow with FSU Sustainable Campus, he actively analyzes detailed data from solar panels and electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in Tallahassee. This role involves collaborating with City of Tallahassee staff, facilitating meetings to discuss data insights, and developing practical, feasible recommendations. His responsibilities also include creating in-depth reports tailored for Tallahassee’s solar panel systems and EV charging stations.Looking to the future, Jonus has plans for internships and increased academic involvement. His goal is to combine his technological expertise and business insights to optimize operational efficiencies on a global scale. As he continues his educational journey, Jonus remains dedicated to applying his knowledge and skills in meaningful ways, both in the tech industry and in the community he serves.
