About Joonas Erho

I have been very interested in computers and programming from a young age, playing around with tools like Unity in my free time since at least 2014. I began studying Computer Science at the University of Jyväskylä in the autumn of 2019, and plan on finishing my Bachelor's Degree the spring of 2023. I have also completed pedagogic studies as my minor. After finishing my bachelor's degree, I am looking to prioritize my work life and complete my master's degree in the meanwhile at a slower pace. My first job in the IT field was working on Bittiliiga, starting from autumn 2020. I have later also worked on other projects at the company that formed around Bittiliiga, Gamers Unite Oy. My work has included primarily front-end web development, but I have also acquired experience working with databases, APIs and other back-end elements. I am confident in my skills with basic web technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS) and I have a lot of experience with MongoDB, Vue.js (both 2 and 3) and Node.js. Through schoolwork and free time activities I have also gotten very comfortable with C#, Unity and Visual Studio, and have some experience coding in Java, Python and C++ as well.
