About Joonas Herva

As the E-commerce Manager for Synsam Group I focus on growing the newly established eyewear brand called Ai Eyewear. I manage the whole customer journey and work with areas such as SEO, marketing, web management and conversion rate optimization. I work towards ambitious growth targets while finding ways to spread knowledge of the cool brand amongst the Nordic consumers. Before I started my journey at Synsam, I worked as E-commerce Growth Lead at Samsung for the biggest product division at the company – TV and AV. Prior to that, I have helped both companies that are in the phase of starting their e-journey and businesses that seek to improve their e-commerce operations. A great part of my time went to Nelson Garden AB where as the E-commerce Manager I was a part of the Nelson Digital team creating digital growth for the company. During my earlier years in B2C marketing and sales, I contributed to the success of the most significant online store in the field of sports nutrition and health in the Nordic countries. My tasks included marketing communication, project, event & campaign management, sales, competitor & trend analysis and social media management – among others. I was awarded “Employee of the Year” for my contributions that led to 60% growth in revenue for the Finnish business. My colleagues and managers have described me as a dedicated and loyal person who is results-oriented, goes to great lengths to make sure that even the details are in their place, and creates a good environment for the whole team. What motivates me most professionally is finding the best solutions for each customer – whether it is a solution that creates growth for a business or a product that improves the life of a consumer.
