Background
About Jordan Battle
As a passionate advocate for children and their well-being, I bring a unique blend of experience in both the arts and social work. I graduated from Columbus State University in 2020 with a BFA in Theatre Performance, where I honed my skills in communication, empathy, and creative problem-solving. My diverse background includes extensive work with children in educational settings—whether as a paraprofessional, nanny, tutor, or acting coach—where I’ve gained experience working with children of all backgrounds and a deep understanding of their needs and how to foster their growth. Currently, I am pursuing my Master of Social Work at Georgia State University, where I am set to graduate in Spring 2025. During my time at GSU, I’ve had the opportunity to intern with both the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation (AVLF) and the Barton Child Law and Policy Center, gaining invaluable experience in intimate partner violence, child welfare policy, and juvenile justice. I am particularly interested in shaping policy and practices that positively impact children and youth, especially in areas related to child welfare, juvenile justice, and education. My career goal is to combine my background in performance art and social work to advocate for systemic change and support vulnerable children and families.
