Jordan specializes in forensic engineering related to the structural and building envelope aspects of construction. Specifically, he specializes in identifying construction defects, performing field leak testing on windows, roofs, and cladding, nuclear moisture surveying, roof uplift testing, cladding pull testing, and wind and hail insurance investigations. In addition, Jordan performs roof surveys for Owners who are in need of roof replacements. Jordan performs structural analysis calculations, and has been retained by the Texas Board of Engineers for third-party analysis on drawings and calculations. He has vast code and design knowledge, which is utilized for his investigations. Jordan has experience working on K-12 schools, colleges, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, residences, airplane hangars, apartment buildings, parking structures, and food processing facilities. He also has advanced experience in wood-framed and steel-framed construction, with various cladding types such as steel, masonry, fiber-cement siding, and stucco. Based on his findings, Jordan issues reports summarizing his findings for legal and consulting projects, and includes repair recommendations. Part of these repair recommendations include structural calculations, structural repairs, remedial drawings, and specification packages. Jordan performs site visits on behalf of the Owner during project remediation to ensure the contractor is meeting the requirements of the projects.
